If you are currently employed by the University of Windsor as a Teaching or Graduate Assistant you are a member of CUPE local 4580.
Your working conditions are set out in a legally binding document called a Collective Agreement. The Employer and the Union are bound by the provisions set out there in.
In order to protect and defend your legal entitlement as an employee, you are encouraged to familiarize yourself with the provisions in this Collective Agreement. Should you experience a violation of the provisions outlined herein please contact a Union Representative as soon as possible so the violation can be rectified.

New Contract Negotiations

The current contract that is available on this website has expired in August of 2010.
Over the course of past 2 months, Local 4580's Bargaining Committee has has met 5 times with the University of Windsor's Bargaining Committee in efforts to agree to a new contract that would benefit both parties.
Although we are in the process of negotiating a new contract, all employees of Local 4580 are bound by the contract that has expired in August of 2010.
Our next scheduled bargaining dates are March 28 & 29, 2011.
